Processing of toughenable double silver low radiation coated glass

1. The current situation of low radiation coating glass technology

Since the low radiation coated glass was introduced, its excellent energy saving characteristics have been recognized by all of us. The low radiation coated glass has grown by more than 30% in construction every year, and the market has entered a mature stage. The low radiation coating glass can be classified into two categories: on-line low radiation coating glass and off-line low radiation coating glass according to the manufacturing process.

1.1 on line low radiation coated glass

The on-line low radiation coated glass is not finished in the float glass production line. The color is relatively single, the radiation rate is high, generally about 0.25, the energy saving performance is general, the oxidation resistance is better, the film is hard, and can be further processed by tempering.

1.2 off line low radiation coated glass

1.2.1 traditional off-line low radiation coated glass

The traditional off-line low radiation coating glass is generally produced by magnetron sputtering, which is rich in color and low in radiation rate. Generally, it is between 0.04 and 0.15. Different regions can choose low-radiation coating glass which meets the requirements of energy saving. However, because the silver layer is very easy to oxidize, it must be processed under strict conditions and used in the short time to synthesize hollow glass. No further processing of steel can be carried out.

1.2.2 toughenable single silver low radiation coated glass

The toughenable silver low radiation coating glass has only appeared in recent years. Its performance is the same as that of the traditional off-line low radiation coating glass. However, the film system structure is special and the process is complex. Only a few large magnetron sputtering glass coating manufacturers can produce it in China. The film structure can be processed by deep tempering, and the original properties can be maintained after tempering.

1.2.3 toughenable double silver low radiation coated glass

According to the development trend of low radiation coating glass technology abroad, a higher performance toughenable double silver low radiation coating glass appears abroad. It is a product of current technology content and performance. The film structure of the film system has lower radiation rate than that of single silver low radiation coating glass because of two layers of silver film, which can reach below 0.03. The results show that the heat transfer coefficient (U value) and shading coefficient are better than that of single silver low radiation coated glass. The U value can reach 1.1w/ M2 · K, and the shading performance can be improved by 30% compared with the single silver low radiation coated glass. Like the toughenable single silver low radiation coated glass, the film structure can be further tempered, and the original performance can be maintained after tempering.

2. Process scheme of toughenable double silver low radiation coated glass

2.1 process flow

The process flow of toughenable double silver low radiation coated glass is shown in Figure 1.

Original glass → inspection → deionized water cleaning → sputtering coating → inspection → packaging and delivery

Send to the factory near the site (or in the local factory) → inspection → automatic cutting → edge grinding, cleaning → inspection → tempering → inspection → hollow processing → inspection → packaging and delivery to the site.

2.2 formulation of membrane system

The toughenable double silver low radiation coated glass must ensure the stability of the coating glass itself, and the film quality is good. The toughened glass can still maintain the original performance.

The heating performance of the film is stable, and it can withstand the tempering process at 700 ℃.

A reinforcing layer and a barrier layer are set to prevent sodium ions on the glass surface from spreading to the film layer, and the adhesion of the film is enhanced. A good barrier layer must be arranged on both sides of the silver layer to prevent the oxidation of the silver layer.

The top layer film must have enough hardness, strong chemical and mechanical properties, further protect the film, so that the film will not be easily damaged by mechanical damage and chemical damage.

2.3 characteristics of membrane system

The coating (top layer) is Si3N4 film, the microstructure is Si-O bond, while the surface micro chemical structure of glass is Si OH bond. The microstructure of the two is basically the same, the compatibility is good, the bonding is close and the adhesion is strong.
